Sidomukti Skirt [2015: CP]
Years ago….. I used to be known as an ‘ethnic girl’ because I love wearing ethnic fashion outfit and accessories, be it necklace, earing or skirt, and that is how I called myself, ethnicgirl. However my fashion taste has been changing as time passed by. I left the ethnic girl within me and become some kind of edgy girl. Yet, I still heart some ethnic element in fashion.
I must say that I often find it hard to get something an outfit which bring together the element of ethnic and modern as one combination in fashion product. Many fashion producer might try but I think they fail or I just never like them. That is why …. I’d always rather to purchase raw material and design it by myself or together with tailor. Why? So I can get the perfect combination of color, pattern and also unique design according to my taste. At the same time, I also could determine the quality of it.
Rocking Sidomukti Skirt [2015: CP]
Few months ago, I went back to my hometown, the city of Yogyakarta. There is one ritual that I always do whenever I go to Yogya, I always go to Mirota Batik in Jalan Malioboro for Batik shopping. Mirota Batik is one of the largest souvenir shop in Yogyakarta. The shop is organized, clean and has a wide variety of products with reasonable price. I got myself a couple of Batik Solo.
As soon as I returned to Jakarta, I asked a good friend of mine, who happened to be a fashion designer, to design a funky skirt for me. And this is it, Sidomukti Skirt by Dreu Lona. Look the different that she made for the front and the back of the skirt. Love it so much! Thank you Miss Naia.
You’re one in a million [2013: E O]
When your boyfriend or girlfriend says to you that You’re one in a million
. Don’t be happy about it. Sheldon Cooper said “If someone says you’re “one in a million” They’re telling you that there are 7,038 people just like you. How is this a compliment?
” Ha ha ha! Smartass!
My man used to tell me this and I was always happy about it but now I realized that it was not a compliment. Lol
Tripping [2013: E R]
Last week, I went to my hometown, the city of Yogyakarta for three days. Yogyakarta is one of popular tourist destination in Indonesia. It is also known as a student city and cultural city with relatively simple yet slow-paced lifestyle.
Therefore whenever I am there, I like to dress casually with short, tank top and sandal as it is not such a good place to walk around in high heels or fancy shoes.
So here I was wearing a simple tank top, classic short denim, canvas handbag, slipper and handmade hairband from a local art showroom in Prawirotaman.
Have a fabulous weekend readers…
Dashing Denim [2013: Nataya]
Few days ago, Naia and I had agreed to spend the weekend together to do some photo shoot for our blog. Well, we are not model and we are not trying to be one. We just love fashion and want to share our fashion sense in our blog. Perhaps, we are trying to be a fashion blogger as it seems to be fun.
Apparently, it was very cloudy when I woke up this morning. I thought that our appointment would be cancelled if it is raining. Fortunately, the sun kept shinning, the cloudy day turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. It was really perfect day to go out and do some outdoor activities with her.
Since I fell in love with crop top, I decided to wear denim bustier crop top and jeans. It is quite edgy yet chic. Unfortunately, dressing up this way made many people look at me strangely as if I am alien. But who cares anyway, I love what I wear.
It’s Sunday again and it’s a very beautiful sunny day!
As always, every Sunday I go to St. Theresia church Menteng to attend 11 a.m church service. But today, I am a lil bit confused about what kind of outfit I should wear today because the weather is quite hot outside but I cannot wear something too sexy to the church.

So here I am … finding one of my old little black dress collection and jeans vest from my wardrobe. I have been neglected this little black dress for couple years. If I am not mistaken, I might only wear it couple times since I purchased it. So I tried to mix and match them together. And…. I love it a lot!
It is glamour yet simple with a little bit touch of street wear.
