I used to be very easy going when it comes to food. But since I moved to J-town, I become very picky. It is because I had a couple of bad food poisoning experience, where I ended up in the hospital. Since then, I prefer to cook my own meal as often as possible. It is because I often find it difficult to find comfort yet healthy food around me.
Here I am, wanting to share some of my favorite healthy recipe:
1. Banana Strawberry Soy Lassi
What do you need:
- 1 Banana
- 5 strawberry
- 1 glass of plain soy milk
- 4 table spoon of plain yogurt
- 1 table spoon of palm sugar (You can change it with honey or sugar)
How to make : chop the banana and strawberry and blend all the ingredient above
Tips: if you want to serve it cold, it would be better that you just keep in the fridge than using the ice cube.
2. Baby Bean and Carrot Salad with Sour Almond Dressing
What do you need :
- 200 gram of baby beans
- 1 peeled carrot
- 5 table spoons of lemon juice
- 1 table spoon of sugar
- 1/2 tea spoon of salt
- 10 almonds
- 1 garlic (finely chopped)
How to make :
- Chop the baby bean and carrot then boil it for 3 minutes,
- Blend the almond, garlic, sugar and salt roughly
- Mix all the ingredient and let it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes
Tips: Baby bean carrot salad is served cold
3. Stir Fry Green Bean with Smoke Chicken
What do you need:
- 200 gram of chopped organic green bean
- 3 slices of smoked chicken (chopped)
- 1/2 onion
- 1 garlic
- black paper
- salt
- Olive oil
- 1/2 cups of Water
- 1/2 tomato
How to Make :
- Fry finely chopped onion and garlic with olive oil until it gold
- Add chopped tomato and fry it for 30 seconds
- Add the smoked chicken and fry it for 3 minutes
- Add the chopped green bean for 3 minutes
- Add the water, cook on high flame for 3 minutes and let the water disappear
- Served it with warm rice, salt fish and home made chili sauce
